“Mileage” illustrates all of the places that I have been within South Florida. Lines are drawn on a map of South Florida of each travel made from point a to point b with varying weight to further illustrate the frequency of particular routes. Once all of the routes have been drawn, the map is removed to reveal only the lines of the individuals own personal travels. As a result, the illustration creates a personal geography and timeline of the individuals life as it relates to where they have traveled. Looking at each line, the individual can recall their entire history of events, stories, commitments and more with the observation of each particular travel.
